Clarity, Discernment and Self-Truth

Clarity, Discernment and Self-Truth

If ants won't eat it,
likely you wouldn’t be nourished or sustained by it.

How do ants know how to choose this path for themselves? Was there some ant research company that did double blind studies and discovered lollipops were bad for ants? Why did each and every one of these ants steer clear of this “food-like” item? Was there a message relay like the kids game telephone and as they passed by the alert to not eat the candy was passed down one by one?
Or is it recognition and acknowledgment of the internal signal understood by ants, which conveys the knowing that this is not a food source and does not serve their highest good?

And, if the ants have this type of tool for acknowledging this inner knowing, what about the humans?
Pay attention to that inside voice, the intuition and the gut feelings....
That is the human guidance system sending signals.

Dare to ask yourself clarifying questions, receive the answer with discernment and have the courage to know Truth for You.

What are you bringing to the table?

The Dynamic Relationship We Hold with Food

The Dynamic Relationship We Hold With Food

What would a snap shot image of your relationship with food look like?
Do you shove food in your mouth and swallow as you rush out the door?
Are your meals eaten in front of the television or while reading the news?
Do you eat while holding thoughts, fears or worries about food making fat or sick?
Do you wait to eat until you feel ravenous and then just chow down
on whatever you can get your hands on?

How does this feel?
What is happening biochemically and energetically when we hold this “fight or flight” posture consuming food?

Our approach and communion with food is reflective of our relationship with ourselves and internal environment. If we approach food in terms of dieting or place titles on “ways of eating”, it directs our focus outside of ourselves versus tapping inward to our feelings, guidance system and our inner communication signals. Our whole approach then becomes dis-empowering and displaces our responsibility onto an outside source.... relinquishing power and diverting responsibility.
Health comes from within which logically indicates that looking to our inner compass for direction only makes sense.
Every individual is completely unique and different. Only you can truly know what you and your body needs at any given moment.

How exactly does this work?

The answer is simple. As humans we were designed with an inner “GPS” system. It is our innate guidance system. This inner biological mechanism uses our tool of feeling to signal if we are heading in the right direction or, conversely, will alert us if we need to course correct. These signals come in the form of feelings and emotions.  Feels good or feels not good. By simply quieting down, drawing focus inward and feeling what we are signaling to ourselves we can become consciously aware of what information is being relayed. As we do this, pay attention to what comes up.
You are already receiving guidance and answers to your questions. Just listen and feel.
However, for the entire “tool system” to function optimally the user needs to respond with appropriate action. Which means, if something feels bad or not good, a course correction is advisable versus ignoring the signal and later wonder why you feel bad. It is imperative to also hold clear your true feelings without judgment or allowing confusion from mind chatter or outdated beliefs to cloud  the messages being received. We will dive much deeper into this topic during future discussions.
For now…

       Feels good?                                      Feels not good?

Well what about organic food? Is it not healthier for us?
Are fresh fruits and vegetables not better than canned or processed foods? Is it true that certain foods contain healing properties?

Yes, I hear and understand all of these questions. And yes, yes – eating an array of fresh, organic foods that are grown locally and are in their natural state seems like a good option. But why might this be true? Remember, nutrition in the form of food is information! What is being held within this food that would be intimately shared within you if eaten? And, from this perspective, does it make sense why some people could experience a healing effect from one thing while another person may not? It is not necessarily the food/nutrient alone but a combination of all the other factors that we have been discussing.
We now understand there is a deeper connection and interaction happening as we eat. So, how do you want your relationship with food to feel and look? Instead of using food as some means to satisfy a primal need what if it was approached as a beautiful act of communion in which to joyously and lovingly engage?

So now, as we sit down for a meal with our clear intention set for the communication and information exchange in which we are actively and consciously participating, how might our new experience look and feel?
Remember- It is all up to you. You decide each and every experience.
Intend for it to be so.

In our future conversations we will take this topic even further. For now, let us continue onward. Time for Action!
Now when you read or hear things from your doctor, the news or a friend you are informed and empowered to accept it or reject it based on how it feels or resonates with you.

Example:
You read in a magazine that this protein shake is good and healthy for you.
What do you do?
Stop! Check in with the one being who knows you best. YOU!

·- What information is held within this shake? (FEEL the answers to these questions versus thinking the answers)
·- Does it feel good for you?
·- Imagine how you would feel ingesting this shake… having that information enter, merge and interact with each and every one of your cells.

These are some of the navigational questions to ask yourself as you become consciously aware of your connection with food and how it relates to health, body image and being in balanced harmony with life.

This is the starting line for shifting our perspectives when it comes to food. Expanding our understanding of this concept of food (and all that surrounds it) - the importance of Your Connection with Your Own Innate Intelligence allows for Empowered Choice to become more easily apparent.

Remember, this is a process. So be gentle with yourself, skills take time to master. Enjoy the experience of getting to know You.

Clarifying Food and Nutrition

What is food and nutrition?

Food is any substance consumed to provide nutritional support for the body. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals. The substance is ingested by an organism and assimilated by the organism's cells in an effort to produce energy, maintain life, or stimulate growth.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food

“Nutrition is the provision, to cells and organisms, of the materials necessary (in the form of food) to support life. Many common health problems can be prevented or alleviated with a healthy diet.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutrition

As we look at the basic definition of food and nutrition we can see that food, at the most basic level, is simply information. And, eating is a form of information exchange or communication. As we eat, information begins to be exchanged, broken down and assimilated within our bodies.  These processes happen on physical, chemical and energetic levels.
For example: a carrot carries inside of it information that is not only chemical in nature (such as: beta-carotene and minerals) but also energetic information (such as: vibrational frequencies). The energetic information also contains information imprinted within its molecular structure from things such as where/when/how the carrot was cultivated, grown, packaged and shipped. When consumed, we are ingesting and inserting all of this "stuff" into our cells.
For most of us, it is easy to comprehend food in the form nutrition as chemical information. But let us explore the energetic component for clarification and a deeper understanding.

Masaru Emoto is a Japanese author and entrepreneur, best known for his claims that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. Emoto's hypothesis has evolved over the years of his research. Initially he believed that water takes on the "resonance" of the energy which is directed at it, and that polluted water can be restored through prayer and positive visualization.
Since 1999 Emoto has published several volumes of a work titled Messages from Water, which contains photographs of water crystals, and their accompanying experiments. Emoto's water crystal experiments consist of exposing water in glasses to different words, pictures, or music, and then freezing and examining the aesthetics of the resulting crystals with microscopic photography. Emoto claims that different water sources produce different crystalline structures when frozen. For example, Emoto claims that a water sample from a mountain stream would purportedly show a geometric design that is beautifully shaped when frozen. On the other hand, Emoto claims that polluted water sources will be distorted and will be randomly formed.

Emoto’s work evidences the energetic imprinting of information from human consciousness on a molecular level. Consciousness, thought or “mind energy”, is the precipitating factor of this imprint but it is emotional energy that puts it into action. Emotion is feelings put into electromagnetic motion allowing for potentiality of the physical manifestation- or the imprint.

So where could this emotion information come from? The earth where the food was grown? The farmer growing and harvesting the crops? The company transporting and selling this food? The individual preparing the food for a meal? You, the one eating it?

There is a lot of information contained within just this one carrot.
Imagine what is in an entire meal!

So we can see here, the act of eating is a dynamic exchange of information on many levels. In this communion we are feeding our bodies with so much more than just vitamins and minerals. We are inserting a slew of data into our cells and stamping them with this data each time we ingest anything. This is why discernment becomes so vital.  Now we know what food is and what it contains; where do we go from here?
For starters, we may begin viewing a carrot as more than just an edible orange thing that grows in the ground. We know it contains more than just chemical nutrients to support our physical body. So how do we apply this basic information to making the decision of what to eat?  Basically, what we are really asking is “what does this have to do with me and my overall health, wellbeing and quality of life?” It may be more than you may think… So stay tuned as we pull it all together.

Coming up next- we will explore the dynamics between you and food. What is your current relationship with food and is this truly the relationship you desire? Or, could it benefit from a little reframing, redefining and reestablishing?

This topic will begin to unfold in the upcoming discussion. So until then, I leave you with this simple question to ponder before your next meal….
"Are you bringing Love to the table"?

Many blessings,
Carolyn

Introduction to Food for BioSymbiotic Living & Being!

“What should I eat?” This was one of the most common questions I would hear over my many years as a practicing physician. I commonly witnessed that even the most intelligent individuals with the greatest intentions would struggle with this simple question.
For many of us, especially in the USA, the topic of food, nutrition, body image and health has become so confusing. There is always a new pill or fad diet that is supposed to be the best.  We read or hear things like: “I was on South Beach but now I’m gluten-free Paleo.”

What does that even mean?!

It is my intent to share what I have come to know and understand for myself in regards to food and how it relates to nutrition, health, body image and overall wellness on a micro-to-macro scale. These days information is put out at such a rapid pace that it can be difficult and even overwhelming to filter through and decipher what is accurate and truthful for you.

In this series we will explore the topic of food in order to become more informed, empowered and consciously aware as we now make self-referenced and self-directed choices. Meaning, we look to ourselves and inside ourselves for the answer to “what should I eat?”

Clarifying the concepts surrounding this topic and re-evaluating our current definitions, beliefs and relationship with food will allow for a more palatable means to digest the barrage of information out there. We will become equipped with the recognition of our knowingness to confidently choose for ourselves what is best. With this acknowledgement of our  inner knowing - great health, wellness and vitality can begin to organically flourish. Our inner biology is designed to work effortlessly when we are in a state of balance and harmony. It is inherent in our make-up to be naturally self- regulating, self-organizing, self-healing and self-renewing. As we come into balance and harmony with ourselves this state of being may then translate to our environment, our community, our planet and beyond. This is BioSymbiotic Living and Being.
Living and being in biological symbiosis refers to a balanced, sustainable system by which all  life exists in an interdynamic, interconnected harmonious flow.

Symbiosis: “While historically, symbiosis has received less attention than other interactions such as predation or competition, it is increasingly recognized as an important selective force behind evolution, with many species having a long history of interdependent co-evolution.”
“The biologist Lynn Margulis, famous for her work on endosymbiosis, contends that symbiosis is a major driving force behind evolution. She considers Darwin's notion of evolution, driven by competition, to be incomplete and claims that evolution is strongly based on co-operation, interaction, and mutual dependence among organisms.” According to Margulis and Dorion Saga, "Life did not take over the globe by combat, but by networking."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbiosis

So let’s take these ideas, put them together and make them real, make them applicable and make them usable today.
We will organize this series in a structural pattern that will allow the information to naturally integrate while underscoring the material with an expanded viewpoint of the micro-to-macro connections.

ü  The concepts and definitions surrounding food
ü  The inner workings and our relationship with food
ü  The action steps to establishing a symbiotic system

As we develop our inner knowingness we can then confidently apply this structural format in our daily lives when we are making choices for ourselves, our families, our communities...

Please join me in this exploration as we begin to recognize the vast network of connections between our physical bodies, the planet and beyond.

Thank you in advance for your participation!
